Only 1 more day to vote for your favorite. I guess the next thing to consider is how to get the winning design printed and how many to print. Does anyone have any experience getting gummed souvineer sheets printed in the past?

The sheets we had made at my other forum did not have them gummed. They just had them printed and cut. I think they were printed four to a page then cut.

I have seen the other thread now and to comment here would be futile and pointless.
I guess everyone voted with their design likes and dislikes in mind, and that is how I have voted to. {I am talking about the types of design and not the subject].

With this in mind, I wonder if we can determine what kind of Stamp Collectors we all are.

Londonbus1....Probably not !

Here is a website that many local post and art stamp enthusiast's use to have their own designs printed, gummed, and perforated. Let me know what you think.

http://www.theolatheposte.com

I know that I've kind of taken over this topic, but I would really like some feedback to help with completion of this task. Specifically, we need to determine the size of the sheet, quantity to print, selling price, gummed or ungummed, and perforated or imperforated. Also, whom will take orders & distribute the sheets. Plus whomever does that will need to funnel the proceeds back to the SCF, since this is meant to be a fundraiser to help offset costs & promote the SCF.

the link looks great, and I think would be more than adequate for our stamp. If your looking for members to handle the various stages of this enterprise, here's just a suggestion - cut up the entire process into numbered stages and ask by posting, which stage any member would like to coordinate or be involved in, you can take it from there.... just a suggestion...

If someone has a good printer, it will be cheaper to purchase the Gummed paper [without perforations] and print them ourselves.

Then a fee can be decided upon taking into account all the costs.

Josh, that site is very good and informative. I guess there are others too, maybe price comparisons can be made.

I have inexpensive gummed paper that I use for my local post stamps. I don't think my printer would do justice to the design.

I am so sorry. I've been very busy lately. This project kind of fell to the wayside and was hanging over my head. I will try to check with a printer next week as to cost.

Does anyone have a suggestion for quantity?

OK I ran by what was a Kinko's and is now a FedEx Office. I think the prices would have been too high for our needs from what I could tell from the info at hand. I decided to do a test run with my Office 2007 program and Epson photo printer. I placed 6 sheets measuring 2.51" height by 3.51" width on a letter size template and printed it off. I must say I am pleased with the outcome. I can read everything and the images appear clear. I am willing to print them off myself and distribute them to the masses. I'm trying to post the file, but I can't seem to get it compressed enough or when I do the file type is not accepted....

Does anyone have an idea for how much to sell them for?

No need to post a file. If anyone here wants a copy all they have to do is go back to the second post in this thread, right click on the winning image, click on "save picture as" and then click save.
The image will then be saved in there picture file.
