I recently went from being a staunch US collector to trying something different. A topical collection featuring animals/plants on stamps. I absolutely love it. I know there are other collectors out there so would like to talk about their collecting interests. I got tired of the USPS with their unsoakable stamps so I think I've found a new niche.

Glad to hear someone else here likes animal stamps! I particularly like animals from the Polar regions on stamps.

I suppose my avatar is a dead give away, lol!

I don't like winter.

I hate to shovel snow and my son is too young to make him do it.

Page_Fault:

Do you collect polar bears on stamps? There are some nice ones from Canada Post.

I like cats as you can tell by my avatar but also any warm blooded animals.

I really liked the arctic fox on the Canada 2009 Polar Regiaons souvenir sheet.

David: Yes, I do collect polar bears. I made a list of Canadian polar topical stamps a few months ago; I'll have to look through it to see all the polar bear stamps again.

Now a must for any Polar Bear stamp collector:

The handy dandy Canada Post tote-yer-bear bag, only 99 cents at your local Post Office.
Look great at the next stamp show!

Kind of flashy but I like it.
I wish they made a map stamp one.
Or the Grizzly bear.
