Gussy....

If you really want to, there are no "laws" against it but, the gums used in scrapbooking will completely ruin your stamps in a very short time.

If you don't want an album, I suggest you look at using a stock book especially made for stamps and can be found for under $10.00.

You'll find a bunch listed here....

Gussyboy1, there are no hard and fast rules. You are collecting for you, not for anyone else. Do whatever makes you happy.
I don't use albums, because I don't want to. I wouldn't suggest using glue though, maybe try acid free picture mounts. These will hold the stamps securely and not affect the stamp (accept maybe there resell value if you ever wanted to sell them).

There is no crying in baseball and there are no rules in stamp collecting except one - never do harm to your collection even if an individual stamp is only worth $.20.

I highly recommend you buy a few inexpensive, glassine envelopes, stock sheets or stock cards to get started. As your pocket book and collection grow you will have the flexibility to move into an album or buy more stock pages and will keep your stamps in excellent condition.

By the way, there are no dumb questions on this site. I know, because I've asked them all of someone at one time or another over the years, and I'm no dummy. My ex-wife and kids may think so, but my dogs don't!

Well - I've asked more than my share of dummy questions.

And you know, by being humble and reading new user's questions, I've learned more than just a few things.

KEEP THOSE QUESTIONS COMING!!
