I have just two fancy cancels that I found on post cards at an antique mall the other day. I posted them on the post cards area of the forum, but thought I'd put them here ,too.

Father Tom,
What can you tell me about the flag cancel that I have or a website to look it up at? I was looking at Cancellation examples in the 2006 Specialized catalogue and saw the Paris Exposition Flag cancel.
Thanks!

Awesome, Tom! Can't wait to see it!
BTW, the "It's a Grand Old Flag" link was GREAT--I went to his other listings on his site--I loved the "Meet Me in St. Louis--if You Can Find Me!" cover--we live about 50 min away from St. Louis so I know of the streets they were talking about--so funny! I really learned some valuable info while reading there!
Thanks!
Gussyboy1

Tom, I don't have any fancy cancels, but I just wanted to say congratulations on a great thread. I just noticed you have had over 10.000 hits.

Thanks Steve!

Here is a 1899 advertising cover for Yankee Machine Works - "Promoters of All Kinds of Patented Novelties, Metal Specialities, Patterns and Model Making."
It has a neat Chicago, Ill. Jan 14 flag cancel on a nicely centered 1c Trans-Mississippi (Marquette on the Mississippi) issue:

The cancel has a "U" between the "18" and the "99" and a "3" in the flag.

(I just bought it for $8 ).
