My wife won a rather expensive Portugal souvineer sheet from the 1970's ..paid for it paypal etc etc..it came yesterday and the seller kind of forced into an envelope too small for it and bent one corner...when my wife gets on the case I kind of feel sorry for the guy at the other end..mabe I am too soft ! it was on eBay she has won $40, $50 dollar early Europa sets from this guy before...you have to be careful anything can happen in these transactions !

This is another case of eBay seller asking and getting 3.50 shipping and handling for $1.04 postage..i can not say all eBay shippers pack a good item in a shoddy package..some are excellent packer/shippers !

I understand why your'e wife is miffed. I've paid $8.00 for shipping and handling for the stamps to come in a glad bag inside an envelope with $1.60 postage on it. But for the most part I've been pretty lucky in that department.

I've been pretty lucky in getting items shipped by eBay sellers, but like most people I'm getting tired of subsadizing eBay fees with exorbinate shipping and "handling" fees! I've started using StampWants instead.

My wife and I have the opposite problem. Stamps come packaged so well that they sometimes are damaged getting them out of the packaging!! Naturally one hopes that delicate stamps are packaged so that they aren't damaged in handling but when you can't get them out of the envelop....
