She was born circa 1595, and was one of the first women to appear on a US postage stamp.
What was her name (before she went by Rebecca)?

Prize - copy of Scott's 2004 US Specialized Postage stamp catalog (used ex-library copy, but still very useful!)

Oh, I know who it was, just suffered a momentary careless brain hiccup. I was looking at Virginia Dare stamps just the other day and had her stuck in my mind.

I appreciate it and would have jumped back in but that wouldn't have been fair--maybe we should ask for a voluntary limit on the number of contests won per month, just until we reach a critical mass of members. This is most assuredly not personal, jab, and I realize from your post that you must be sensitive to this concern.

Haha, no problem, I don't take it personally at all... But yeah, I am sensitive to that fact, and I would graciously limit my impulses to win every single contest on the forum.... Now who wants to pay me to tutor them on 'How to Win Almost All the Contest You Enter'?
