You bet it is. My other computer has Ted Williams on the screen saver. He and Ted were my childhood heros. By the way, Spahnie was the most decorated WWII baseball veterans. Purple heart, Bronze Star, battlefield commission; Bastogne and Remagan Bridge.

Very cool. He actually pitched for the Mets near the very end of his career, but I was too young to be aware.

I remember that. Casey Stengal was the manager, Yogi Berra was the catcher, Spahn was the pitcher. Spahnie said "We aren't just the oldest battery in the Major Leagues, but we're also the ugliest".

Might this work as a Machin reference collection? Or too much in the way of extras?

No, there aren't usually many images - one of life's little frustrations - but the description and FV indicate a pretty extensive range.

Understood. The booklets, sheets, and multiples are definitely a turn-off.

It is kind of ironic the big name trusted auction houses show few images (expect you to visit) and the supposedly less trustworthy by some on eBay show hundreds of images for their lots. For a given collections.

I can not find a mint Scotland Regional - the 44p SG# 144. Does anybody out there have one they wish to part with? Please let me know.

Thanks,
Jack Kelley
