Joint issue between Canada and USA commemorating 400th anniversary of the mapping of the East Coast by Samuel de Champlain. This is the Canadian version which has a UPC barcode in the lower left corner, the USA souvenir sheet does not have the barcode.

I wonder what two countries hold the record for putting out Joint Issues? I have a suspicion that it just might be Canada and the United States but have nothing to back up this assumption. Here are a couple more to play on that idea.

Benjamin Franklin as Postmaster in the two future countries just prior to the Revolutionary War.

And here is another one commemorating the "Peace Bridge". This one really is a joint issue, apparently, despite designs which have absolutely nothing in common.

And on that theme, here is the souvenir sheet with a joint issue between Australia and Canada. Again, the stamps are nothing like one another except for the topic.
