The Spreuerbridge of Luzern is a masterpiece of architecture in wood and contains masterpieces of art. The first bridge built at this site dated from the early part of the 15th century; today's bridge dates from the 16th century and has only been renovated when necessary (note: the other covered wooden bridge of Luzern suffered badly in the fire of 1993).
