On January 2, 1913 New Zealand began re-issuing its Life Insurance Department stamps in new values and new colors. This black 1 1/2p value (S.G. #L26) was issued in 1917.

Here is Finland's September 30, 1986 mourning issue for President Kekkonen (1900-86). He served as Finland's President from 1956 to 1981.

Here are two Irish "black and whites" from 1966; The 5d. Roger Casement stamp (August 3), and the 1s. Ballintubber Abbey stamp (November 8).

On October 18, 1971 Ireland issued a set of two stamps to publicize the UN's "Year to Combat Racism and Racial Discrimination." The high value 10p stamp was printed in black. Hibernian Handbook: "Lithographed by Harrison & Sons Ltd., London."
