Well, this is frustrating. I immediately went to my "Katalog Polskich Stempli Okolicznosciowych 1919-1944, Zeszyt 1" (Polish Commem Catalogue , part 1) thinking I'm going to nail this, and it's not there!

The catalogue is in multiple parts, part 1 is 1919-1944, & illustrates all commem. cancels from this period as well as descriptions & indications as to their rarity.

I notice three cancels exclusive to Warszawa 2 in 1937 so maybe this was another one in the group.

I'll ask on the Polish Stamp Forum, but I wouldn't hold out for much luck, they're more interested in finding out if their grand-dads 60s & 70s Communist stamps are worth anything.

Thanks YeaPolska,
May the force be with you.

(In the meantime, I'll cross my fingers)

There seems to be 2 jacks on the staff, perhaps naval origin?
The Maltese Cross reminds me of something, not sure what though.

1937 Postmark Flag curiosity............

Guess:
This Postmark may have been issued to show appreciation to the SMOM
contribution to health / hospital services.

I have checked my SMOM stamp collection, no flag of similar design,
excepting the Maltese Cross is naturally prevalent of course.

1919 Polish Eagle.
Shown here on brownish paper, 50 halerzy on bluish paper.

Would I be correct in assuming these are either forged Postmarks, or CTO?
As they were issued without gum, the backs are pristine.
Surely home made pots of mucilage would offer some resistance?

Any Ideas how we ID Forgeries ? (No entries at stampforgeries.com)

Season greetings to you also Steve.
We are experiencing record highs this summer.
I am protected by both being a few degrees South of Hot, and having 3 metre ceilings.
Cycling though, one has to be up by 5am, and inside by 9am

Right. Thank you very much Revstampman.

I only had this poor catalogue page to go on.
I understood the pre-stamp era postage stationery to Russian influenced,
and it looks like a double headed Eagle in the first envelope (1859)
don't you think ?

From "Katalog Popularny 1984" znakow pocztowych ziem polskich.

I think it is Russian. Your design matches those on the top row on page 3 of the article:
