On October 24, 1974 the DDR issued a se-tenant strip of three stamps for Stamp Day. The stamps also publicized the "DDR '74" stamp show held in Chemnitz (Karl-Marx-Stadt, during the communist regime). The strip of stamps shows relief sculptures by state-sponsored artists. The 20 pf stamp (Mi #1989), created by Joachim Jastram (1928-2011) features a seated man playing an accordion.

This May 21, 1971 stamp (Mi #390) of Berlin commemorates the 500th anniversary of the birth of graphic artist and painter Albrecht Duerer (1471-1528). The stamp shows a detail from Duerer's 1514 engraving The Bagpiper.

Here is a detail of relief work showing deities/musicians on a very large bronze bell. It is depicted on a 1000 won definitive stamp (Sc #1103) issued by the Republic of Korea on September 20, 1978.

From wikipedia, "The Bell of Sangwonsa is a bronze bell designated as a National Treasure of South Korea. It is located in the Sangwonsa temple in Pyeongchang County, Gangwon Province."

On August 18, 2020 the UK issued a set of six stamps featuring the BBC television series Sherlock. This 1.68 pounds stamp from the set depicts the protagonist involved in a strings duet.

This September 13, 2000, two peso stamp (Sc #2131) of Argentina is from the Archaeological Artifacts series of that year. It depicts a ceremonial drum, or kultrun of the Mapuche people. The Mapuche are a large, indigenous group native to Argentina and Chile

From researchgate.net, "Kultrun the Mapuche ceremonial drum showing the drawings that symbolize Mapuche cosmovision. The skin surface is divided by a cross in four cardinal points, each quarter has a star, the sun, or the moon depicting the sky. The lines in the cross end in chicken feet dividing the perimeter into twelve segments symbolizing the calendar year."

On February 21, 2009 Lithuania issued this 1.35 litas stamp (Sc #887) depicting the coat of arms of the small town of Krekenava (pop. 1636). The coat of arms shows a stringed instrument called a cankles, or kankles which has traditionally been made in the town's area.

From linkc.lt website, "Kankles (zither) is a very old musical instrument related to the Latvian kokle, the Estonian kannel, the Finnish kantele and the Russian gussli...The simple unmodified instrument is used in folklore groups."

On November 4, 2006 Lithuania issued this 2 litas stamp to commemorate the centenary of the first Lithuanian opera Birute'.

From oxfordmusiconline.com, "Birute' by Mikas Petrauskas (1873-1937), produced in Vilnius in 1906, is usually considered the first Lithuanian national opera, but in fact is a play with incidental music..."
