On May 22, 1986 Seychelles issued a four-stamp set commemorating AMERIPEX '86 International Stamp Exhibition held in Chicago,Illinois, USA. Set was issued on the opening day of the exhibition. The 2 rupee value (Sc #598) shows a woman using a public telephone kiosk.

Here is Brazil's May 5, 1992 350 cruzeiros stamp (Sc #2362) commemorating the TELEBRAS phone systems' 10 million telephone terminals. In July 1998, the TELEBRAS state-owned monopoly was broken up into 12 privately-owned companies.

Telephones appear on the 2 and 3 shilling values (Sc #s 58-9) of Kenya's April 15, 1976 four-stamp set commemorating East African Telecommunications.

On March 31, 1976 New Hebrides Condominium issued two identically-designed sets of three stamps commemorating the centenary of the telephone. These English and French language sets vary somewhat in the placement of wording on the stamps. The 25 centimes values depict the first telephone and a desktop rotary dial phone.
