On February 22, 1985 the Republic of South Africa issued a set of four stamps as a tribute to painter Frans D. Oerder (1867-1944). The 30c value (Sc #650) of this set depicts Oerder's oil painting Still Life with Lobster.

From oerder.com, "A pretty little magnolia bouquet and the corner of a painting in the background are used to set the earthy objects (a bottle of salad oil, a little jar of mustard and a lobster) above the mundane."
