One more stamp from the same series above, from Italy. Pasta is already an universal food, but now the drought of Italian rivers will affect their pasta production. Durum wheat (painted in this stamp) for pasta making, is a lot less harvested this year - and worse. https://www.theguardian.com/environ...ught-climate I am shocked by seeing the drying up Po river on the map - my everyday sticky-rice is coming from North-West of Italy, where Swiss and French borders are near-by, and that is where the Po starts. Our food environment, wherever you are in the world, is directly connected to the Climate Crisis.

Hello friends, I have gone through the entire topic and not found what I am looking for, so I shall have to ask:

Has anyone ever seen or heard of a stamp featuring some good ol' chips and salsa?

I am putting together some small topical collections for my family featuring their interests and hobbies, and I've just learned that my brother-in-law whom I love dearly but don't see often due to distance "lives and breathes" the stuff.

Food industry in Israel, issued by Israel on December 20, 2022:

Each stamp shows an old advertisement and one main known old product produced by one of the three main Israeli food companies, all are still active in Israel:

Osem company, established as noodle company but today produces many products:
This stamp shows a special Israeli flakes called Ptitim. During the severe austerity period of the 1950s in Israel, Prime Minister David Ben-Gurion turned to Eugene Proper, one of the founders of Osem company, and asked him to find a substitute for the rice beloved by those of the Mizrahi ethnic group (Jews from Arab countries). This is how the flakes were born - wheat grains baked in the form of rice.

Elite company, mainly chocolate and candy company:

Strauss company, milk products company including ice-creams:
