This November 2, 1953 issue of the DDR (Michel #397) recognizes the 75th anniversary of the Leipzig Zoo. A pair of African lions (Panthera Leo) is shown.

Leopard cat (Prionailurus bengalensis, aka Felis bengalensis), designed by Duong Ngoc Canh (1925- ), printed by lithography, and issued by North Vietnam on February 15, 1973 as one of a set of four stamps depicting indigenous wild animals, Scott No. 689, plus a photo.

The Eurasian lynx (Lynx lynx) is depicted on this Norwegian 5.50 kr. definitive stamp (Facit #1103) of February 21, 1991. Twenty-eight million of these recess (steel-engraving) and offset printed stamps were issued.

This stamp (Sc #319d) depicting an Amur leopard is from Estonia's March 26, 1997 souvenir sheet of six endangered species in the Tallinn Zoo. The Amur leopard (Panthera pardus orientalis) is a critically endangered species native to southeastern Russia and northern China.

This 30p cheetah (Acinonyx jubatus) stamp is from a set of four "Endangered Animals" stamps issued by Ireland on October 8, 1998.

On July 16, 1919 Ethiopia issued a set of 15, bi-colored, pictorial definitive stamps. Two of these stamps depict big cats as the central design. The 1/2 g value shows a leopard (Panthera pardus), while the $3 value shows a pair of African lions (Panthera leo).

This postcard from Namibia to the USA is franked with the international postcard rate ($1.20 at time of issue) leopard (Panthera pardus) stamp from the country's November 3, 1997 Native Fauna series. Stamp is Sc #864. It was also issued in self-adhesive format.
