Here is a slogan applied May 15, 1950, advertising the imminent June 3-10 centennial celebrations of Media, Pennsylvania.

A philatelic use as the envelope back flap is tucked in and there's no return address.

Here is an interesting private slogan-mimic apparently applied when the return address was printed by the Chicago Daily News:

I like the ADDRESS YOUR MAIL takeoff !

I also like slogans on penalty envelopes, usually such nice readable impressions

Here are a couple of scans of the 1940 New York World's Fair slogan cancel. I am working on a specialized study of these cancels, they were used in New York, Far Rockaway, Jamaica NY, Brooklyn, Flushing and Long Island City. I am always looking for these cancels, and especially unusual usage like this cover.

At first glance this looks like a nice cover, Germany censored to the US. However when Turning it over we see that the World's Fair slogan was used as a transit stamp on the reverse.

Here is another 1940 New York World's Fair slogan cancel. This letter was sent as a first class local letter. There was a special rate of 2 cents for local letters between POs in Queens County New York which began on June 24, 1940. 1 cent postage due because the letter was forwarded to New Jersey. (no longer a local letter)

Stallzer posted above on this page a 1917 cancel promoting the 27th reunion of United Confederate Veterans to be held in Washington DC. Luff (1975) indicates there are 4 dies.

edited to clarify.
Here is a wave version of the same with the slogan "JUNE 4 TO 8, 1917"
making this one the fifth version, #5895A
A bit lightly inked I'm afraid.

Among a number of old postcards I have stacked up, I noticed this slogan cancel and pulled it out to look at it further.

"U.S. TREASURY DEFENSE BOND FLAG COUNTY"

I thought it might be a typo. Shouldn't it be "COUNTRY"?
Anyway, it's Luff 6060B used only in Lihue Hawaii from 1953 to 74.

Since a good bit of the country just came through some snowy weather, you might want to see the Hawaiian scenery on the verso. Including the five foot wide panoramic windows the plane offered.

re: Confederate Veterans slogan

Stallzers example with the year at the bottom of the dial and the rectangular slogan box comes from an International Postal Supply Company machine. (Luff 5895, "4 - 8" in bottom line)

jleb1979's example with the year date as a central slug in the dial and the wavy slogan box comes from a Universal Stamping Machine Company machine. (Luff 5895A, "4 to 8" in bottom line.)

Here they are together on one of my favorite covers from the teens, fed mis-faced through the International machine at 7:30pm and then correctly through the Universal machine at 8:00pm

Luff's "United States Postal Slogan Cancel Catalog", 1975, indeed notes four different slogan box typesettings (done by hand) differing by very minor shifts in the positioning of the letters. Here is Stallzer's and mine with red ovals drawn around the I, E, and V spanning three lines, to show one such difference. Note how the alignment between lines shifts. The other two killers show different alignments also.

Luff lists an extra International variety with the text matching the Universal text "to" in the last line, which is apparently in error as a more detailed c2000 listing of slogans by the Machine Cancel Society does not list this International variety.
