The shell of the mollusk Barnea candida. The unique shape and structure of the surface earned the shell the nickname 'Angel's wings. The mollusk is one of the ecological sentinels as it reacts rapidly to pollution. This postage stamp is from the Souvenir sheet "The Black Sea" which was the joint issue of Ukraine and Bulgaria in May 2017. The same spring, the sculpture of the "Angel's wings" mollusk was installed in Odesa at Lanzheron beach indicating the good environmental status of the Black Sea. Maybe these wings protect our city today |

Maybe these wings protect our city today Hello svetlana_odessa - I noticed that you wrote this post on the very day when Odessa was attacked... I hope you and your family are safe, no further bomb. The rest of the world feel powerless, just watching what is happening in your place, on the same earth we all are living. Angel's wings are beautiful. |

I guess this stamp fits to this thread.. Great Britain 22 July 2021 / Wild Coast / Zooplankton / illustration: Maité Franchi The set has Marine food chain illustrated, and one more stamp depicts "Phytoplankton", they look very similar to Zooplankton, eggs or child stages of crabs, shrimps, fish and octopus, but they aren't..? Very confusing... Here is the link for all set; http://www.collectgbstamps.co.uk/ex...?issue=23060One of the photographic stamp is already featured here by KuoLC5310 on page 18. |

Tomonakaazu, thank you very much for your concern and kind words of support. We are relatively safe for now but the situation is disturbing. Nobody knows what the next day will bring. |
