Here is an image of a stamp depicting the Iceland scallop (Chlamys islandica), designed by Icelandic artist Ţröstur Magnússon, engraved by Michel Monvoisin, and issued by Iceland on March 23, 1982, Scott No. 553, Facit No. 614.

I like the Niger stamp Nethryk,
the French seemed to have had deep and striking inks
for theirs, and the colonies stamps.
French stamps had a certain "quality" about them.

What I always thought was a lovely set of engraved seashells from a 1985 US booklet series.

Here is an image of an engraved stamp depicting a spiny lobster and the the mail order service emblem, issued by Republic of China (Taiwan) on March 20, 1961 to publicize the mail order service for consumer goods, Scott No. 1315. Ship 'em live!
