jamesw - Yes, and ever so fashionable in the Maghreb. Here is an image of a stamp depicting another desert innovation, the mobile home: Somali, camel and gurgi (a hut made of camel-mats supported by poles which can be pitched or struck in about an hour), designed and engraved by Bradbury Wilkinson & Co, and issued for use in Somaliland Protectorate on September 15, 1953, Scott No. 128, SG No. 137. - nethryk |
