Here are two 2009 stamps issued by private courier "Nordkurier Briefdienst" of Neubrandenburg, Mecklenburg Vorpommern, Germany. Stamps commemorate their 10 years of letter and parcel courier service in the state of Mecklenburg Vorpommern. The Nordkurier website lists approximately 470 different locations in the state where either letter service, parcel service, mailboxes, or some combination of these services is provided.

The stamps depict two gates in Neubrandenburg. The .44 euro standard letter rate stamp shows the Treptower outer gate. The same gate is depicted on the Bundesrepublik's 1966, 60 pf definitive stamp (Mi # 496) also shown here. From location scout.net, "Neubrandenburg has four of these gates. This one (Treptow) is one of the three double gates which is actually two (separate) gates. This one was built in the 14th century and is about 32 meters tall."

The 1.25 large letter rate stamp shows the Friedlander inner gate
