Philb started an excellent thread and many of us have said some great and nice things about our forum.

http://goscf.com/t/14394&whichpage=1

I would like to take it a step further and start this [hopefully] ongoing thread.....all about Feedback.

Many of us here are buying and selling, starting auctions and bidding. Many are exchanging and some are just sending items to others for free because....well, because they are just plain nice.

So what about feedback? we cannot have scores or points, and I wouldn't want them. We are not an auction site where we wait for a positive or, God forbid, a negative. No.

So if you receive some nice items, a nice cover or a freebie from another member, tell us about it here.

Put simply, this will be our place to say thanks. Open to all. No need to say thanks on long forgotten sales or auctions that get put away to sleep, keep the feedbacks and thanks going so everyone can read them !

Londonbus1.....I will start the ball rolling...see next post.

I had the idea, up there in the first post, whilst opening a packet I received from Scotland today. At first glance it looked a bit bashed, but the initial fears were pushed to one side as all the contents were perfect !

But let me start from the outside and the thoughtful franking.
A Cylinder strip with 'Traffic Lights' of the new WWF issue plus a block of 6 Scottish 2nd Class Definitives . The Saltaire ! All cancelled with most unusual, dateless Inverness [plus star] strikes.

Superb contents, the stuff that work-day dreams are made of. The kind of packet that you just love to come home to.

There was even a Poster and a personally designed Greeting card.

Then the 'Creme De La Creme', an Exhibition Programme, voting form [Most unusual] and a show Postcard, also shown on the programme cover.

All superb additions to my Exhibition collections.

But there was one more item in the packet. One that even got a mention on the Customs label [which gave me a chuckle].

A Flag

And here sits the Flag of Scotland. With my pens and pencils, letter openers and scissors,; rubbing shoulders with SG catalogues and a Magnifying glass !

What can I say.

Londonbus1.....Thanks just isn't enough.

PS. Stampgal is a gem !

LB!!

I haven't had such a big pat on the back since I fell asleep in a cowfield!
Thankyou for your kind words, I am glad you enjoyed the packet!
I am really only returning the kindnesses and favours you have done for me.

May I add to this thread by thanking Jamesw and Bearwithfish for their stamps, which arrived yesterday and today respectively. Bearwithfish is having to Bearwithme while I get my end of our trade together - promise you won't have to wait too long - don't want you getting Grizzly

Everyone here has been so nice to me. I'm reluctant to name names, lest I omit someone.

Most recently, McGees.org sent me a great starter pack of Machins that I hope to finally work on this summer; TomisekSJ gave me great deal on a set of Special Delivery stamps.

DJD has been immensely helpful to me with my Canada collecting -- I highly recommend you visit his Wensy storefront.

I feel privaledged to be a member of this stamp family :) Thank you Londonbus1, jhlovell, and jamesw for all the wonderful packages I've recieved :) Truly greatful to be here and look forward to being here for a long time ~Ash- perhaps the only 25 yr. old you'll meet who'd rather spent weekends with her stamps than do what everyone else seems to enjoy doing...LOL You guys are great :)

Your quite welcome Londonbus.
I'm not surprised about the polar bear. They can run pretty fast, and our Canadian postal workers are rather slow.

See my new post and display of stamps under "Closed-Auction-Deutsche Bundespost 1954"

I couldn't find this thread because I had forgotten the word Feedback and searching under thanks didn't show anything.
