Here is an image of another stamp depicting a hand holding a sapling; this one was designed and engraved by Pierre Gandon, and issued by Niger on August 2, 1974 to publicize National Tree Week, Scott No. 304.

Nature reserves and parks


Tripylos reserve

The Tripylos area is situated in the Pafos forest and includes the unique stands of the endemic Cyprus Cedar as well as remarkable stands of the Golden oak and important Calabrian pine forests.


Lara reserve

Lara-Toxeftra is a Marine Reserve within Akamas National Park , which was established to protect marine turtles and their nesting beaches. Most commonly green ( Chelonia mydas ) and loggerhead turtles ( Caretta caretta ) can be found here. Occasionally monk seal can be still spotted also.
