scifi7 - you should also post that sheet on the butterflies thread (https://goscf.com/t/2014). They almost look like moths, though.

Thanks Nells250. I think I should try and find out whether or not they are butterflies first.

I really like the Australian insects set posted by Tomiseksj on page 2. Very rich colours & lively designs.

Here is a set of moths from Vietnam issued in 1998

(clockwise from top left) Antheraea helferi, a moth found in s.e.Asia.
Argema mittrei, the Madagascar moon moth or Giant Comet, the world's largest moth.
Attacus atlas, the Atlas moth found in s.e.Asia.
Argena maenas or Actias maenas, the Malaysian moon moth.

The Chinese mantis (Tenodera sinensis) looks like a long and slender praying mantis, with different shades of brown, and it is typically larger than most other mantises. This species is often erroneously given the taxonomic name of Tenodera aridifolia sinensis, as it is on the stamp imaged below, printed by lithogravure, and issued by China (People's Republic) on June 28, 1992 as one of a set of four Chinese insect stamps , Scott No. 2396.
