I am stunned. The market shows that here are some very serious collectors of these labels. |

Heavy bidding of late for cinderellas on eBay. Prices much higher than just a few months ago. It's difficult to win an auction without over paying.

Because of escalating inflation, the 2 Mark airmail stamp on this cover has been re-purposed into an advertising label for the Greater Bavarian Stamp Dealers' Meeting in Nuernberg on the 5th to 9th of July, 1923. Unfortunately, the red hand stamp on this cover has faded into nothingness. |

My internet search for information concerning the "sketchy sounding" Paris Universal and International Fair of 1942 came up empty, as expected. Apparently, the engravers in Paris kept themselves busy practicing their skills during the German occupation of 1940-44. There is a great deal of French engraved cinderella material from this period. The souvenir sheet measures 106mm x 124mm. |

Here is a "Belgica '06" World Championship Youth Philately cinderella used as a letter seal on a 2012 philatelic mailing from Tallinn, Estonia. |

This September 30, 1955 airmail cover from Edinburgh, W., Scotland to Havana, Cuba bears a large (75mm x 62mm) label of the CUPEX International Stamp Exhibition on November 12, 1955. This show highlighted the centenary of the first Cuban stamps. Back stamp shows arrival in Havana was October 3. There is no return address on the cover. |

The label might indicate that the correspondence is from a dealer, exhibitor, or some other participant.
To add a little more to the mix... apparently there were two CUPEX shows in 1955, one in April and the other in November. |

In my view, this is not an exhibition label. Just an exhibition ticket, stuckt on a cover. |

Well, there's something called "glue"...So, a paper doesn't need to be gummed to be sticked on another surface. |

But. Why should an exhibition pass be gummed? Because, to me, it's clearly a guess pass for the stamp exhibition. Unless, I've forgotten the Spanish that I learnt (many years ago!), even more than I thought. |
