Quote: I really like the work that Mr. Drummond has done, I have a couple of his works and they are really good. Warning: encouraging me will only result in even more books. Jim |

Ha! Well, let me see what I can do to accomplish that... ;)
I'm working on a complete set of your works as I can afford them; I fully understand the reason for the cost (and I 100% prefer the color photos!) and every time I get one, I gobble up the information with intense interest.
Seriously, they're incredible. Stamps that I had previously relegated to the very back of each album (because I didn't know what to do with them) are now becoming organized and sorted in new stockbooks, and I am thrilled to learn about them. Thanks so much for the work, it's remarkable.

Hi Barry,
If I could ask, which of my book(s) are you referring to in your posts?

I have Vol. 2 of the philatelic miscellany catalogue and the Verified Reception Stamps catalogue. The philatelic miscellany catalogue was the one in particular I was referring to, I have some of the "Let's Get Associated" stamps (never really knew what those were) and a few other odds & ends in there. I really REALLY need to get the other two volumes - I already have the update kit #1 as well.
I also have various Official Seals from a few countries (Japan in particular) so that's another need, but the Philatelic Exhibition Stamps catalogues will probably be my next purchase. I really enjoy the background on the various items, it's really nice to know what they are.
Are you working on any other catalogues? I collect stamp catalogues as well as the stamps. It can be a challenge as well, particularly with the out-of-print works... |

Are there any dealers or clubs that specialize in Stamp Show Labels?
I'm primarily interested in Grimsland and more specifically those associated with the Chicago Philatelic Society. |

Are there any dealers who stock philatelic exhibition labels? I'm looking for Chicago area labels by Grimsland for an exhibit. |

I picked up this Grimsland label a few weeks back. It is an overprint on the 1941 Chicago Philatelic Society label. One of two overprints in 1953. |

I like this one from Turin at the end of WWI. An international stamp exhibition, but enemy states are excluded. No despicable Germans or Austro-Hungarians at our show! |
