The 1.50 value stamp (Michel #53) of the March 1945 pictorial set of "Provinz Laibach" (German occupation of Slovenia, WWII) depicts "hell" falls near Borovnica.

On May 29, 2019 the USA issued a se-tenant sheet of 12 "Wild and Scenic Rivers" stamps. One of the stamps depicts the Owyhee River, a tributary of the Snake River.

Michael Melford shot the aerial photograph used as the stamp's artwork. Whitewater and waterfalls can be seen on the river as it moves through southern Idaho.
