Thank you Michael. Yes, they should be part of a much larger set. I have just two others, but, by then, sometimes they issued up to 20 diferent cinderellas just for one event.

Luckily, this is a never-ending hobby. Most Sundays I find on our stamp market Catalan cinderellas that I've never heard about.

And, we've already catalogued a great number of them!

"Cinc d'oros" is the Catalan name of a playing card. It's also the name given by Barcelona's people to one of our main cross-roads, the one between the Diagonal Avenue and the Passeig de GrÓcia (GrÓcia's promenade).
Close to it, once stood the "Cinc d'Oros" bookshop, that during the long night of the fascist Franco's dictatorship (1939/75) sold undercover prohibited books (on freedom or democracy) to the Catalan public. For this reason, it was sometimes attacked by the fascist grups (under the protection of Franco's police) that twice, set the bookshop on fire. I remember it well myself.
Nevertheless, the shop survived up to 2005.
This cinderella/label, it's still attached to a catalog of an exhibition of the Catalan sculptor Manolo HuguÚ, a friend of Pablo Picasso. The book is dated 1991, which gives you an idea of the issue date.

For my 2000th post I wish to show two cinderella minisheets, issued in 2018 by Barcelona's Stamps & Coins Traderes Guild. The cinderellas remember events of 2017, as well as aniversaries

1.- On the first one there's Catalonia's Independence Referendum, of October 1st, 2017.
2.- Pompeu Fabra (GrÓcia, 1868 - Prada de Conflent, 1948). Who set the standards of modern Catalan Language.
3.- Barcelona's Arxiu de la Corona d'Aragˇ. Where the papers of the old Kingdom of Catalonia & Aragˇ (1137-1714) are kept.
4.- 550 years of the death of the novelist Joanot Martorell (Gandia, 1415-1468)

5.- 100 years of the birth of Maria AurŔlia Capmany (Barcelona, 1918-1991), writer and cultural activist.
6.- 100 years of the birth of the philosopher Raimon Panikkar (Barcelona, 1918- Tavertet, 2010).
7.- 100 years of the Modernism museums "Cau Ferrat" and "Mar I Cel" in Sitges.
8.- Yellow ribbon in remembrance of the pro-independence Catalan politicians and social activists, held in Spanish prisions since October 2017 (and, still, there!)

There were also other cinderella minisheets, issued from 2014 to 2019. I'll upload, as soon as I get them.

We've reached the 160000 visits mark.

Thank you very much to our readers for nearly 9 years of following this thread.

In 1936, at the start of the 1936-39 war, the church of Sant AdriÓ de Bes˛s (nearby Barcelona) was detroyed by the anarchist mods.

After the word, the church was rebuilt from scratch and there were isued some cinderellas showing teh projected new churchto rise money for he work. We know them on a number of colours with the face value of 25 cents of pesseta (our currency up to 2001)overprinted in red or green and also an orange cinderella with a face value of 1 pesseta. The cinderellas show the name of the town, on the (then compulsory) Spanish language, "San Adrian del Besos".

Condition is not the best but, they're not easy to come

Lleida (Western Catalonia), May 1955. Children's Stamp Exhibition. The name of the city is spelled "Lerida" (Spanish) instead of "Lleida" (Catalan), as by then our language (Catalan) was forbiden, by Franco's dictatorship.

Thank you very much Rod. I truly appreciate your words, coming from someone with the wealth of knowledge that you have.
But, I just upload the cinderellas that I'm lucky enough to buy with my limited pocket. Today, I bought those, together with 5 more that I'll show later

Just a forewords on the just shown cinderellas. On the background there can be seen an old buiding. It's Lleida's old cathedral (known by locals as "Seu Vella", of the same meaning)
Is a 13rd century romÓnic-gothic Building. The city was retaken from muslims about 1150 AD. In 1708, after being taken by the Spanish, it became Spanish army barracks (due to its convenient location on a hill overlooking the city). And remained as it up to 1980-90, when it was transfered back to the Catalan governement, that has fully restored it and turned into a historical site.
