Actually, the Angel, stands at the top of Vendrell's chucrch belfry and it's an icone of the town. On this cinderella, you can see the replacement, by a US Navy helicopter, of the angel, after restoration. The text, is written just in Spanish, English and French. Our own language, Catalan, was banned.

Believe the aircraft is US Navy version (H19) of Sikorsky S55.

Most likely, as the US Navy 6th fleet were, by then, often visiting the nearby harbours of Tarragona and Barcelona. Thank you for the information.

From the catalog shown by Rod: this mini-sheet was issued on February 24th, 1984 by Barcelona's Stamp Dealers' Gild, as a part of a 50 mini-sheet series (issued between 1979 and 1985) showing Catalonia's history. The face value is in "pesseta" (Catalan) or "peseta" (in Spanish) our pre-euro currency. 1€= 166.87 pta.
Text, are written in Catalan and show XIX century Catalonia's facts and people.
