Here is an image of a stamp designed and engraved by Claude Haley, and issued by Chad on April 25, 1972 to publicize April as "World Heart Month," Scott No. 251.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting a man's heart and a surgical team operating, printed by lithography, and issued by South Africa on May 30, 1991 to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the first successful human heart transplant, performed by South African cardiac surgeon Christiaan Neethling Barnard (1922-2001), Scott No. 803.

The French Post released on 18 June 2012, this stamp to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first european heart-lung transplant. The transplant was conducted by Professors Christian Cabrol and Iradj Gandjbakhch; the transplant was possible because of the discovery of cyclosporine, an efficient drug to prevent organ rejection.

There is an ATA Handbook 158 "Perforated Hearts - Hearts on Stamps" by Dr. Benedict A. Termini, M.D.written with an aim to encourage topical collectors to explore the world of heart stamps and make available the information on heart stamps.
