The Russian team won handily. Renato Mondolfo, better known as a stamp collector, was four times European Bridge Champion, and one of the team that developed theRoman Club bidding system. Bill Gates played in the Mixed Pairs at the Bridge World Championships 2002 & 2006. |

Russian checkers (also known as Shashki or Russian shashki) is a variant of checkers (draughts) played in Russia and some parts of the former USSR, as well as parts of Eastern Europe and Israel.
