Who's rarer than married royalty -- astronauts!

From Mali, 2017. Mark Lee and Dr. N. Jan [Smotherman] Davis, US astronauts.

These two met during training for a space shuttle mission to occur in 1992. They evidently hit it off, and married in secret, only telling NASA just before the flight when it was too late to train substitute(s). So they were the first married couple together in space at the same time. Going forward, NASA supposedly will not allow married astronauts on the same flight.
Alas, the couple divorced in 1999.

On January 14, 2004 Finland issued 4 coil stamps, one a 2nd class rate, and 3 first class rate/65c values honoring Finnish composer Jean Sibelius (1865-1957). One of these stamps depicts Sibelius and his wife Aino (1871-1969). They were married for 65 years.

The NAVIRE on the cancel puzzles me. It does not seem to be a location; rather, it appears to be a French word meaning "ship".

Here is a pair of "husbands and wives" stamps from Finland's September 10, 2003 Philanthropists booklet of six, 65c stamps. The Juho and Maria Lallukka stamp has previously been shown on page 4 of this thread, but the Jenny and Antti Wihuri stamp was not shown.

From wihurinrahasto.fi, "Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation is a Finnish non-profit organization that supports hundreds of projects in the areas of research, art and societal activities every year.

This tread was started about 10 years ago. Now the title is out dated. Perhaps the title needs to be changed to married couples on postage stamps as the term "husband and wife" is no longer PC and really just a term dating from the BWE*.

(needed to meet minimum width for posting image)

Now the moderators can have a discussion.

*[As BCE (Before Common Era) and CE (Common Era) replaced BC (Before Christ) and AD (After Christ) for PC reasons, I predict BWE (Before Woke Era) and WE (Woke Era) will be the next replacement due to needed PC adjustment reasons. ]

These two 5c values from Panama are from the November 3, 1953 set commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Republic of Panama. The red orange stamp (Sc #390) shows Panama's first President, Manuel Amador Guerrero and his wife Maria Ossa de Amador. The second stamp, the green 5c airmail (Sc #C141), depicts Jose Remon Cantera and his wife Cecilia Pinel de Remon. Cantera was the current President, and he was assassinated on January 2, 1955.

On October 13, 1993 Japan issued this 62 yen stamp (Sc #2216a) to commemorate the wedding of Crown Prince Naruhito (b. 1960) and Masako Owada (b. 1963). This stamp is the single 'heart piece' of the issued souvenir sheet. The wedding took place on June 9, 1993.

From wikipedia regarding Naruhito, "He acceded to the Chrysanthemum Throne (Emperor of Japan) on 1 May 2019, beginning the Reiwa era, following the abdication of his father, Akihito."

@Parcelpostguy, I guess it's possible to create another thread with a different title.
