Here are images of three of the four stamps in a wildlife set depicting, respectively: an Irish stoat (Mustela erminea hibernica); an Irish mountain hare (Lepus timidus hibernicus); and a red fox (Vulpes vulpes), designed by botanical illustrator Wendy Walsh (1915-2014), printed by lithography, and issued by Ireland on July 30, 1980, Scott Nos. 480-82. Note: The fourth stamp in this set depicts a red deer, and is posted in the "Animals with Horns" thread.

Between 1988-91, Norway issued a "Nature" series of nine definitive stamps featuring nicely engraved and offset-printed, indigenous birds and mammals. Four of these stamps feature small mammals, two of which have not previously been shown on this thread.

The 2.60 kr. red fox stamp (Facit #1049) was issued on February 20, 1989, and the 4.50 kr. beaver stamp (Facit #1080)was issued on February 23, 1990.

Because of the third party hosting problem (Photobucket) on the earlier, aforementioned posting, I have edited this posting to show the 3.00 kr. ermine (Facit #1050) and 4.00 red squirrel (Facit #1051) stamps of February 20, 1991.
