These circa 1910 "Humorous Animals" advertising labels of Peter Milk Chocolate (France) show dogs as a dog-tired domestic worker, a butcher, and a street musician with assistant.

One stamp on Japan's March 23, 1999 Greetings sheetlet of 5 self-adhesive stamps shows a St. Bernard pup (Sc #2668c).

A beagle puppy is depicted on this March 13, 1998 stamp of Japan (Sc #2614a). It is one of 5 custom die-cut stamps from the 1998 "Greetings" sheetlet.

On September 1, 1995 Japan issued a stamp (Sc. #2496) recognizing the World Veterinary Congress which was held in Yokohama that year. The central image is a yellow Labrador retriever.
