Sorry if there is already as topic for this, I searched but didn't find one.

Here's another sheet from an estate box I got recently.
Thought I'd share...

There is rain and sunshine at the same time in Russia.

and one more from the German album and some info from the web.

Joseph von Fraunhofer brought the stars with his life and work closer to us, also in a figurative sense.

He was a self-taught physicist, optician, technician and an entrepreneur. He succeeded to combine application-oriented basic research with applied research, to translate the results into marketable products and to market the finished products. He created not only the basis for the optical industry in Germany, but ran his operation to exemplary to the present day targets.
in 1987 the Deutsche Bundespost released a postage stamp with the Rainbow colors of the spectrum of the Sun and the signature "Jos." "Fraunhofer".

The stamp commemorates his 200th birthday.
