The Borsig Forge, 1878, detail from painting by Paul Friedrich Meyerheim (1842 1915).

Borsig is a railroad machinery manufacturing company in Berlin founded by Johann Friedrich August Borsig (1804 1854). The stamp shows blacksmiths producing locomotive wheel.
