Zuzu - Thanks! You might also enjoy viewing the images of the four stamps in a set issued by France which I posted here today in the "trees on stamps" topical thread.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting Aquilegia bertolonii, a species of flowering perennial plant in the genus Aquilegia (columbine), of the family Ranunculaceae, native to Southern France and Italy, designed by French nature artist Colette Thurillet, printed by photogravure, and issued by Monaco on April 20, 2011 to publicize Mercantour National Park, Scott No. 2631, plus a photo of this beautiful flower.

Not sure if we have a thread for trees/landscapes, but these 1989 landscape stamps are on a set of 4 Maxi Cards.

Jacobus Hendrik (Henk) Pierneef (usually referred to as Pierneef) (13 August 1886 – 4 October 1957) Pretoria, was a South African landscape artist, generally considered to be one of the best of the old South African masters. His distinctive style is widely recognized and his work was greatly influenced by the South African landscape.
Most of his landscapes were of the South African highveld, which provided a lifelong source of inspiration for him. Pierneef's style was to reduce and simplify the landscape to geometric structures, using flat planes, lines and colour to present the harmony and order in nature. This resulted in formalized, ordered and often-monumental view of the South African landscape, uninhabited and with dramatic light and colour.

RSA produced a set of 4 Maxi-cards in 1989 featuring his art - cancelled 3rd August 1989
