Here is an image of a stamp depicting the Génissiat Dam in the Department of Ain, the first hydroelectric dam and power plant built on the Rhône river, designed and engraved by Gabriel-Antoine Barlangue, and issued by France on September 21, 1948 to celebrate the dam's completion that year, Scott No. 697, Y&T No. 817. - nethryk  |

motoman I will find you some dams...this is the only one I would not want to part with..the first FDC I ever sent away for when I was stationed in Southern Italy with too much time on my hands..the cover is a little beat up..i did not know much about stuffing an envelope..i don't think I have another cover I might possibly have the stamp but I know I have a lot of dams on cover !!  |
