Set of 15, one stamp depicts Fort Peck Dam on the cover of the first issue of Life magazine in 1936.
The Fort Peck Dam is located near Glasgow in northeast Montana. At 6,409 m in length and 76 m in height, it is the largest hydraulically filled dam in the United States, and Fort Peck Lake is the 5th largest man-made lake in the country. The power station is equipped with five 37 MW Francis turbines.

Orava Dam is located in northern Slovakia, forming the largest lake in Slovakia. It was built between 1941 and 1953 on the former two sources of the Orava river.

The stamp features Iznajar Dam on the Geníl River, 65 km north of the city of Málaga. The dam was inaugurated in 1959. It is for irrigation, flood control, and hydroelectric power generation.

Nezahualcóyotl Dam (Malpaso Dam) is on the Grijalva River in the Centro region of Chiapas. The embankment dam is 137.5 m in height and 480 m in length. Its power station is equipped with six 180 MW Francis-type turbines.

Bhumibol Dam is on the Ping River in Tak Province. The 154 m high, 486 m long concrete arch dam is the first multi-purpose dam in the country. The power plant contains eight turbines for an installed capacity of 743.8 megawatts.

The Soyang River multi-purpose dam is located 12 kilometers from where the Soyang River and north Han River meet, and is 13 kilometers north-east from Chunchon city.
The multi-purpose dam project was planned as part of the integrated development plan for Han River basin with the object of advanced control of natural river runoff by the construction of a zonefill dam across a narrow valley in the Soyang River.

The development of the potential water resources at this dam site was planned to generate a substantial amount of electric power. Annual energy production was projected to be 353,000,000 Kwh. with an installed capacity of 200,000 Kw.

Caruachi Hydroelectric Project

The Caruachi Dam is a concrete gravity dam on the Caroní River in Bolivar state, Venezuela. The dam supports a hydroelectric power facility with a 2,160 megawatts capacity.

Mazar Hydro-electric Project

The Mazar Dam is a concrete-face rock-fill dam on the Paute River in Cañar Province. It is located directly upstream of the Paute Dam as part of the Amaluza-Molino project. Its power station, commissioned in 2010, has an installed capacity of 170 megawatts.

Little Libombos Dam

Little Libombos Dam is a gravity dam on Rio Umbuluzi. It provides water for the capital city of Maputo and surrounding areas.

Honduras
60 Years of Iluminando Honduras

El Cajón Dam is a hydroelectric power plant on the Comayagua River in Western Honduras. The double arch dam measures 226 m in height and 282 m in length. Its power station is equipped with four 75 MW Francis-type turbines.

Here is an image of a stamp depicting a dam, engraved and printed by Waterlow & Sons, Ltd., and issued by Bolivia in 1943 as one of a set of seven stamps publicizing the country's mining industry, Scott No. 293.
