Nells250, would be great if we could smell all these stamps

Thailand has issued a number of scented rose stamps. Here is the 2011 scented St Valentine's Day issue.

Ah yes... but I thought perhaps adding it here would get the eye of folks who may have missed that one. You know, keeping a "topical" in the "topical" section.

I am trying to remember... did France have a rose scented stamp as well?

The sad thing about these stamps is that after a few years the smell goes away. :(

I wonder if the various catalogs will start listing these stamps as "mint-sniffed" or "mint non-sniffed".

France issued a baguette stamp today (Friday 17 May 2024) which is purported to smell fresh out of the oven when rubbed.
594,000 are to be sold. More than a few baker's dozen, but we'd best get 'em while they're hot and unrubbed.
