This $1.00 value (Sc #1389) of Australia is from the September 28, 1994 "Australian Zoos - Endangered Species" set of seven. Although the subject of the stamp is the family of Asian elephants, a rhinoceros and a pair of giraffes are shown.
The giraffes led to my question, 'Does a giraffe have horns?' From Google, "Giraffe 'horns' are not actually called horns, but 'ossicones' and both female and male giraffe have them. Ossicones are formed from ossified (hardened into bone) cartilage and are covered in skin."
