The Forever stamp honors Chief Standing Bear (c. 1829–1908), a Ponca chief and Native American civil rights leader who became the first Native American judicially granted civil rights under American law.

Are US revenue stamps on your radar? If so, there are several examples to be had. The earliest depiction of a Native American on a US stamp was this 10 lb. tobacco tax stamp from 1868.


There are other examples. Let me know if you're interested and I'll upload images.

A nice set of native Americans and their art was issued by Czechoslovakia on June 20, 1966. It was issued to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Náprstek museum, a museum of Asian, African and Native American art located in Prague:

Native Americans on stamps of French Guiana from 1932 overprinted in use in Territory of Inini, an inland territory of Guiana, administered separately between 1930 and 1946, after which all of French Guiana became a department of France.

Haida are an indigenous group who have traditionally occupied Haida Gwaii, an archipelago just off the coast of British Columbia, Canada, for at least 12,500 years. The Haida are known for their craftsmanship, trading skills, and seamanship.
