Nice page. There's only about a 30-year stretch of U.S. stamps that are interesting to me, and these are right there at the beginning. Nice centering across the Pan-Americans.

Rod,

I have not ID'd it.
It seems familiar, but my data base is not as sophisticated as yours...
I have to look through my albums and I usually get distracted and get off on some tangent.

I am assuming that it is a revenue cancel, just because it is so different.

DStamp,
What nice pages, and stamps, the £1 can be particularly difficult to find. Thanks for sharing.

With regard to the postmark on your 1/- orange and also on your 10/- olive-green & dark blue, these appear to be Transvaal telegraphic obliterators - a circle containing a single large digit within it. Numbered 1 to 4 they are often found on the 1913 KGV series as per your pages.

Clive,

Thank you.

I started to make pages this way to enjoy when I retire.

Full pages of stamps in catalog order are not very interesting to me.
So with this set I highlighted the changes to the original issue.

The #8356;1 was the final addition after a 2 year search.
It was on the American Philatelic Society sales site – [/url]https://stamps.org/

Telegraph cancel: Much more interesting than revenue!
I'm not overly concerned with cancels as long the stamps are priced accordingly and the stamps present well.

22crows,

Great pdf!
I only recall seeing the "1" which I assumed was a simple bar obliterator.

Rod,

I assume we will both be watching for the different numbers!

22crows,
thanks for posting the link to the PDF. an excellent resource. It also confirms that I was mistaken when stating that the Transvaal telegraph obliterators were numbered 1 to 4, as the PDF clearly shows images with obliterators numbered 5 and 6 as well.

DStamp,
I absolutely agree, I like that you have left space to breathe between the stamps. which is why I started laying out my own pages, here is one of mine http://goscf.com/t/79577&whichpage=2#721677

Steiner pages are a wonderful resource, but to my eye, they seem to be designed to maximise the number of stamps on a page, aesthetics be damned!

US Series 1934 & 1936 Silver Tax Stamps, Scott RG1 - RG27 on Palo pages.

I love my hingeless Palo pages, but at some point the box sizes need to be fixed. The stamps are not riding up in the mounts, the boxes and mounts are too small for the actual size of the stamps. This issue exists across many of the Palo revenue series pages. Really my only complaint about them!

Murmur.
