Nice purchase!
Do you have a Rowland Hill collection that you are adding to, or is this a new topic for you?

Very attractive collection

I guess its 1979-80 issue from all over the world

I would suggest..complete the collection in MNH
then you can add FDC / used on commercial cover / Plus errors ,varieties
like GOLD/SILVER foil Perf IMPERF etc.

I always add some key Value to my UPU collection
it secured my investment

rtvstamps - You may also wish to add some non-Commonwealth stamps to your new collection. For example: Sir Rowland Hill, designed by Adalbert Pilch, engraved by Alfred Nefe, and issued by Liechtenstein on December 5, 1968 as one of a set of five stamps honoring "Pionerrs of Philately," Scott No. 447.

The original Souvenir sheet was issued for the Southampton Stamp and Coin Fair in May 1975. The sheet depicts the newly-minted Rowland Hill medallion.
Sheets [like the one below] were found overprinted for StampWorld London'90 but are not connected with the event. Most likely done privately.

Mr.Hill still stands proudly outside the former Post Office and Museum in King Edward Street, London. [Picture taken during, London 2010, A Festival of Stamps].

During the Postal Strike of 1971, a million private delivery firms emerged to carry our mail to their destinations.

OK, maybe not a million, but it seemed like it !

Here is one such company which used a Rowland Hill portrait to good effect.
I give you the 'EXPORTERS LETTER SERVICE' ! [Starring Mr.Hill]

There were others, these are just a sample !

Did I say a million ?

Londonbus1...can't count ! Should have said two !

A Rowland Hill portrait was shown alongside 1d Black and 2d Blue reproductions on the Official 1979 National Stampex Souvenir sheet. The Specimen sheet was given to special guests.
The sheet commemorated the 100th Death Anniversary of Sir Rowland and part of the sale was used to fund the 1980 International show in London [Earl's Court]. The sheet cost a whopping £3.50 !
Printed by the House of Questa.
