Your thematic has large grey areas around the perimeters, I'll post random images, take what you want.... (eg Netherlands has a stamp on "lead free petrol" that possibly doesn't qualify) Anyhow, here is a stamp of the horse drill you posted (See, stamps have EVERYTHING on them :) Here is one from SCF member Ryan, with "innie" and "outie" perforations........ |

Rod,
that romanian stamp is great! More stamps from Aserbaijan, if that's not too much trouble, yes please.
I try to stay within the limits defined by my technical field in the patent office, of course there are grey areas, but then I decide on case-by-case basis. Thanks for posting.

SG0024 (1921) T3 3000r Bibi Eibatt oilfield I've attached this fantasy /phantom stamp from Azerbaycan I've never really understood it, perhaps oil rigs, but I have always thought brick kilns. I'll leave it up to you. |

Here is an image of a stamp ("Between Old and New") depicting a map of Libya, an oil derrick, a plane and a pair of camel riders, designed by Libyan painter Mohamed Ali Siala, printed by photogravure, and issued by Libya on February 28, 1968 to publicize the 7th International Fair, held in Tripoli, Scott No. 331. - nethryk |

Interesting story: the use of boreholes for mineral prospecting, including blasting to create dynamic waves: |

Rod, that issue shown by Alexey is from the Soviet Union, "Geology", issued on October 31, 1968. The 6k stamps shows seismic prospecting which is not part of my field, but belongs to G01V (Geophysics; Gravitational measurements; Detecting masses or objects; Tags) http://www.wipo.int/ipcpub/#refresh...&symbol=G01VThere is some overlap with my field in the area of well logging. That fantasy stamp from Aserbaijan could show early oil rigs indeed. Klaus |

Alexey,
I searched the online catalogue with keywords, and I think that I have identified most of the issues relating to that thematic. Most, but not all, as became obvious when Rod posted his Azerbaijan stamps. So yes, show what you have, maybe there are more issues that I missed.
