Not mine.
Shared with the community by a fellow collector from his collection.

The islands of Trinidad and Tobago semi-postals on covers along with Red Cross Society cinderellas.

Scott #B2, overprinted October 20, 1915, postmarked on this day also.

And Scott #B3, overprinted on October 19, 1916, postmarked on this day also, missing the red colour inside the overprinted red cross.

Has this missing red cross colour been seen before, is it in any catalogue? Not in Scott.

Thank you.

Note that when properly used, the label and the overprints never appear "tied" on the same cover. The label (with its high catalog value "on cover") was valid only on September 18, 1914; the two overprinted stamps were issued in 1915 and 1916.

Gibbons lists the "red shading on cross omitted" as T&T #175c, unpriced. This item would need to be expertized to validate that variety. It is, however, a first day cover, October 19, 1916. This has the potential, if genuine, to be a big-bucks item.

The one fraction stamps shown in the first post come clearly from two different die. In the bottom one 'y' of 'society' almost touches the 'n' of 'fraction' while in the top one they are much further away. Also the cross (+) of the top stamp is even while in the bottom stamp the upper arm is clearly longer than the bottom arm. Does anyone know if one of them is not genuine or how these differences have come?

Correct, but with a new question directly connected to the original images shown. However, if that is incorrect way to do it, please tell so, and I try to avoid it in the future.

No worries, we simply try to mention bumped threads because other folks often do not notice it is an older thread and will reply to the old posts.

Thank you Don. Next time I try to remember to include that note myself if I resurrect an old thread.
