Puzzler, you have made my day!
I think I was confusing the New photography issue with the winners of the Canadiab geographic contest 5-stamp issue. I liked those. Wish they were bigger.
Kind of a Wish List addressed to Canada Post
I also wish they (them folks) would make the Canadian Pride stamps (yeah I know they are definitives, but still) Bigger. They are great stamps. Even maybe make a bunch of small ones and some big ones maybe.
Someone asked me whether I was sure the previous Mills stamps definitives were definitives because they had thought they were commemmoratives, albeit rather small sized ones.
Why do definitives have to be so small anyway?
This isn't 1930. We've got more trees here than some places that issue a heck of a lot more stamps than us. Lets even this out, eh?
Mills and Lighthouses and Canadian Pride all with great pictures for Gad's sake on little small eensy stamps. If you can put the flowers on a coil roll or in a booklet then what's the problem?
Saving money? You would sell more of them if they were bigger. People (read appreciators and collectors of beauty) want large stamps to enjoy and show off and fight over. The little stamps are a specialist's specialization.
Picture Postage on a coil roll of 50 or 100 or 500. What an idea!
I am not usually an angry guy, really. I really care about Canada's stamps and what we show and how we show it and the style we show it with.
We've had some great stamps and covers over the years. People around the world enjoy Canada stamps. Good job you huys and gals. I wish I was part of the team to help out somehow.
I did vote a lot on that Mental Health issue. That was a great idea, letting the public vote on what they thought was a good design. Lets do that again for something or for everything why don't we?
Let's lead the world for once here. We have the skill and the confidence. Just let us at it.
