No such luck..Kaiser Wilhelm just managed to abdicate in NOVEMBER 1918 and fled to exile in Holland..who would not allow him to be extridited as a war criminal...22 years later Germany showed their appreciation by blitzkrieging little Holland !! |

Here are two picture post cards made at camp. My Great Uncle was also wounded in action at Champage while serving in the 5th Machine Gun Battalion. One of my side projects is taking all of his correspondence,awards,military orders and packing up for WWI veterans museum. Still transposing handwriting on letters. Even have orders for the wearing of Gold Wound Chevron with the shrapnel chunk he was wounded with. Will be posting some of the covers later on. Great Uncle back row 2nd form the left. Tall man.   |

Very interesting historical postcards, 1775mac! Here is a patriotic postcard sent by a soldier in the Army during WWI.  Liberty Bonds Will Keep These Howitzers Thundering at the Huns.  Oct 10th Still alive and on the "chow" line three times a day. Best regards to all. "OKelly" |
