Many moons ago, on page 2 of this thread, I offered some examples of counterparts to these topicals: stamps on wine labels. Today, while exploring the wine aisle in my favorite grocery store, I came upon another one. This one even has a "cancellation"!

This .50 euro stamp of private courier Regiopost Pfalz depicts an inebriated sausage holding a glass of Champagne and offering a slurred "cheers".

From de.m.wikipedia.org, "Regiopost Pfalz was founded with the abolition of the mail monopoly of Deutsche Post in October 2000. The delivery area included almost the entire area of postal routing region 67 as well as parts of the postal routing regions 76 and 66...The Regio Post ceased operations at the end of February 2018."

On June 21, 2000 Switzerland issued a three-value set of "Tourism" stamps. The 130 centimes value (Sc #1077) of the set focuses on St. Saphorin, in the southwest of the country. Stamp depicts St. Saphorin church and a waiter's tray with a bottle of wine.

From www.myswitzerland.com, "The sunny, winegrowing village of Saint-Saphorin lies on the shore of Lake Geneva, nestled among the terraced vineyards of Lavoux, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site."

Here is another item relating to harvesting, or grape picking for the wine industry. This circa 1977-85 cancellation of Bad Duerkheim, Germany depicts a grape picker wearing a basket.

From wikipedia, "Palatinate (German: Pfalz) is a German wine-growing region in the area of Bad Duerkheim, Neustadt, and Landau in Rhineland Palatinate.

And from Google, On July 6, Bad Duerkheim's city council made it official: the 2021 edition of its mega-event, the Wurstmarkt, will not take place for the second year in a row. What's widely billed as the world's biggest wine fest takes place on the second and third weekends of September each year." Covid-19 caused the cancellations.

The old grape pickers' baskets shown in the photo are French.
