Hello again,
I was able to open the file and save as an .ods spreadsheet. Thank you for your assistance on this.
With Libreoffice and Scribus 1.5.8 open, I'm not able to export data to Scribus.
Example: left clicking the "export to scribus" icon opens a dialog box asking which worksheet to export. Pick Allenstein, click to export, go to my open Scribus page, click recent script, and the Allenstein export data isn't there.
Are there other links that need to be edited for Scribus to receive data?
Thank you for helping this septuagenarian!
Tom (seafarer)

Tom,

The first time you go to run the script, it won't be in the Recent Scripts menu, since that only shows scripts that have been run at least once. To run it the first time, in Scribus, go to Script/Execute Script, then select the .py file that's in the folder with all the other SAPG files.

The python file (think that what it is called): pytSAPG_v1_4_5.py was run.
In execute script I get a Scrip Error when I load this file:

Trace Back (most recent cell last):
File "<string>", line 11, in <module>
File "<string>", line 1019
SyntaxError: Name '1st page offset' is used prior to global declaration

Interestingly, I can see the python file in Recent Scripts, but the same Script Error shows up.

For this I am using your originate template, no modifications.
Tom

Tom,

Are you using the latest version of the SAPG, v1.5.5?

Since LibreOffice and Scribus are both open source, it's a constant battle to keep up with changes they make that completely screw up my code.

Oops. Just realized that the last couple posts are in the wrong thread. This thread was for a Stamp Album Page Generator for MS Publisher, which is no longer available.

The thread for the SAPG for Scribus is here -- http://goscf.com/t/32942. Gonna see if the mods can help ovee these last few posts over.

And Uknjay, the software is available on my website in the PMGS Products section.
